Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, Lawrence S. Ting School will officially offer German as an elective subject for Grade 6 students. This marks an important step in diversifying language education and expanding international opportunities for Vietnamese students.
Previously, after months of negotiations and documentation, Lawrence S. Ting School was honored to be recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training and the German Federal Foreign Office as a certified institution authorized to teach and administer German language certification exams (DSD – Deutsches Sprachdiplom).
With this recognition, the school’s German language program will be supported by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA – Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen), as part of the “Schools: Partners for the Future” initiative launched by the German Federal Foreign Office.
Accordingly, Lawrence S. Ting School will offer a continuous German elective program from Grade 6 through Grade 12, providing students with outstanding academic benefits such as: Access to a German-standard curriculum and teaching materials, under the strict supervision of ZfA to ensure international teaching quality Preferential tuition fees for the German learning pathway from A1 to C1 levels Free participation in the DSD 1 (B1 level) and DSD 2 (B2/C1 level) exams, administered directly at Lawrence S. Ting School.
These German language certificates will open doors to study opportunities, scholarships in Germany, and participation in international exchange programs.
It is reported that in the 2025–2026 school year, Lawrence S. Ting School will launch two German language classes for Grade 6 students. Enrollment has been conducted according to the school’s regulations for second foreign language registration.
